As with all flavors of linux, tell me why I should give a shit about this one?
Idk
But among all linux distros out there, this one got my attention https://clearlinux.org/
I haven't taken the time to test it yet, but here's why it's worth giving a shit about:
>Clear Linux OS is an open source, rolling release Linux distribution optimized for performance and security, from the Cloud to the Edge, designed for customization, and manageability.
>Meet The Linux OS AMD Recommends For Superior Ryzen Threadripper 3990X Performance
>AMD and Intel may be fierce competitors in the CPU space, but the two companies aren’t always trying to cut each other down. In fact, during the press briefing for AMD’s 64-core Ryzen Threadripper 3990X, it actually recommended using Intel’s in-house Linux distribution for best performance.
>That revelation comes from Michael Larabel, otherwise known as the benchmarking guru behind the cross-platform Phoronix Test Suite. Larabel has pages and pages of statistical proof that Intel’s Clear Linux is the ideal Linux distribution to run on Intel CPUs when taking pure performance into account.
Debian is the base. Debian is amazing, but to make it "awesome" takes work. MXLinux uses base Debian, but adds a ton of quality of life features (most notably a proper update manager and access to newer video drivers). It's a solid alternative to any of the Ubuntu clones, while maintaining access to a rock solid base of Debian so your shit doesn't break every update, and a vast repo of software.
