I may have to go that route, although I will need to find a walk through to get it done. am a bit of a Caveman when it comes to this type of thing. It hung up with the install when I tried it, I am going to reboot and try again. Uptime is over a month right now, and I suspect there is an issue with an interrupted update messing with the install.
edit: LOL- thanks for the walk through, I will try it that way. BRB, going to reboot.

That happened to me a few times so I regularly restart my machine.
I tried the CLI text you so kindly posted, and ran into this snag:

It hung on the install Okular line.I tried the last one to see if some magic would happen, but no. Wondering if this has something to do with the same error I got trying to install via software updater
Edit: also tried the suggestion from the CLI, and it gave me this:

Edit again: I installed via the software updater and it worked, but I am lost in this program. Can't find anything. None of what is supposed to be in the tools options is there. No Typewriter, for instance, which is probably the thing I need the most.
Egads. I'm too much of a neophyte in Linux to figure out those errors, but I'm sure someone else here can.
Did the first install method work for you? - The one you asked about?
