Largely my experience with Opensuse matches his. I'd also add that many programs directly installed from the repos will not work without further manual configuration (steam comes immediately to mind), and when I used a nvidia card, I had several instances where for no reason at all I would boot to command line because the drivers would fail to click on. It's a very.... quirky distro. God bless folks who enjoy it, I'm not one of them

What linux distro did you settle on as a result, if any? Debian/debian derivative?

Mint. Trite I know, but the fucker is an absolute work horse as a daily driver and gaming rig

Heres mine. Wifi didnt work. Tinkered and got it up. The kde password reprompting thing was about all I could manage. Maybe I can look past it. Nope. It started booting to a blank GUI. Time to revert back to my Windows partition. Nope. It ruined my boot partition; now I will be performing an entire restore . Thanks for that.
