Yeah... Can we select two layers at the same time now or is this still some technological marvel that we'll have to wait for until 2077?

Problem of gimp is that the dev team have their heads full of shit, they're not incompetent, they are full of shit

That's why gimp still sucks balls in a major way(s)

They are like "we don't want to make a photoshop clone we want to make something different"

Everybody expect them to copy the wheel, and they insist on reinventing it and making it square

That's the problem with gimp

Can't you link the layers then unlink them after whatever you need to do. I would think that would be what I'd try or turn off the layers you don't want to edit and then if possible, use all visible layers, might be a tool that does that in gmic since that is so well done. Now fixing the gimp registry would be a great thing, I really can't stand when I try to install with pacman and the installs are failing left and right or a package cannot be found and it's like ask if you can host the package that is needed for just the installs of the script plugin only on gimp.org. I mean it's fucked up how they've let these valuable plugins just die and some do stuff that is as good as PS and they're just letting them rot and they are what give GIMP that free extra value and just hosting them all and have someone with major quick skills just give them each a once over see if they need a few tweaks to get them back to how they used to work. It's like windows how they add one feature and drop 4 you liked better.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about, be careful not to click too much on the left or on the right... Now try to select a dozen like that while holding shift. That's going to select all the fucking layers in existence. It's fucking lame, it keeps on shitting in your hands whatever you do

Also, crtl+y for redo....

CTRL+Y

The fagged version of ctrl+shift+z

Wow, I wasn't expecting a lot but I was surprised at the stuff they are adding to the gimp 3 release later on. I like it they're working on vector support and that the font part is being worked on, it really sucks at this time badly. I just bought a wacom drawing tablet and the new support being added will be a welcome addition in my eyes.
