Oh sorry. I meant Cinnamon Mint.
Right on. So I was dinking around with my panel and ended up fubaring the damn thing and had to set it back to default, well there must have been a change in the network manager because it's different now and I'm having issues ... primarily with turning on and off my VPN or switching between VPNs. There are some other issues that I'm trying to sort out as well ... Like HDMI for one, I have to manually change the sound to output from HDMI every time I plug into my TV from my laptop. And then when I remove the HDMI cable I have to manually change the sound output back to Laptop. I'm not sure if these are Linux issues, Mint issues, Cinnamon issues or what.
On 18.3 I've had some very weird issues running dual monitors - 1 on mini display and 1 on HDMI. Run great UNTIL you unplug one and plug it back in. Have had to do ctrl alt f1 to get terminal and command line restart Cinnamon. PITA!
And the iwlwifi (intel wireless chipset) had been randomly fine and very slow connection so that is main reason I am upgrading. Tired of the wifi issues. Not sure if 19 will fix or not.
Other than that thought, everything runs so great and so fast. Just love having Linux as my main OS now. Professionally used Unix/Linux for many years, but this is first time it was my primary home OS. Before just never wanted to mess with it at home.
HA! That's funny, as I've used Linux personally for years but never in the industry. Professionally I've always supported Windows operating systems and servers and network equipment. I take that back, not always... I do have some experience working with HP-UX but that was a project about 13 years ago.
