That sounds awesome!

And much like what I plan to do if I ever get around to it. Just using whatever I get on the company dime has been adequate for a long time now, but I want to build something cool like you're building again. Especially without intel!

Don't get me wrong, I used to _love_ nvidia, but they've gone super shitty with driver support in Linux compared to the early 2000s.

The last laptop I had was a hybrid intel/nvidia 2D/3D travesty. Once the drivers went beyond v375 it all went to shit and stopped working.

So far the AMD rig is working pretty well. Definitely not a bleeding edge build but, with the extravagance of a 2TB M2 SSD, it runs like greased lightning.

I based my buying off this build (premiumbuilds.com) and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Dude, we ALL loved nvidia once upon a time, they were the BEST!

Now they are not the best. Especially for linux.

Who needs that many TB in an SSD?! I get what's good enough for the boot volume SSD-wise, and then just have massive numbers of spinning platters for archival storage. I must have hundreds of TB on spinning platters, just most of them are in their little cases on the shelf. I need more drive enclosures.
