Yeah, thats been my theory from when the shitlibs cheered a pro-gun ownership ruling from SCOTUS. It was regarding illegals or non-citizens being protected under 2A and SCOTUS ruled they are. Great, for 2A absolutists, but they're going to use this in Hegelian fashion to remove citizens liberties.
