You are being disingenuous. The question as stated is "a child" not "your child".

If you decline to feed your child, you are guilty of murder. This is because you created a human being who is wholely dependent upon you for survival. Your choice to make a baby leads to your responsibilities.

A child that someone else created is not your responsibility. That is their choice to make a baby, and their responsibility to feed.

"Think of the orphans" is always an emotional appeal fallacy. If you have dependents, term life insurance and long term disability insurance are incredibly inexpensive. It's negligent not to purchase them if you have dependents and inadequate assets to support them if you die unexpectedly.

If an irresponsible person has a gaggle of kids, chooses negligence, and gets hit by a bus...their orphans are neither legally nor morally my responsibility. They should have cared enough about their children to put in a few hours of effort and a token expense to provide for them.

Now I choose to be exceptionally charitable to orphans voluntarily, but that's out of the goodness of my heart not a legal obligation.

Agree with you here. And I'm much more apt to show charity to members of my own race. Others don't belong here and can seek charity from their own kind.
