I know that sounds strange, but hear me out. Prior to the 'rona hysteria, there was an argument to be made that normies acted the way they did because:

1) They were blissfully going about their happy little lives oblivious to what globalists were doing.

2) A sufficiently clear argument had never been made to them laying out what the result of their juvenile demands "government should do something" would be.

3) They hadnt clearly and directly suffered from tyranny, so they didnt understand it even in an abstract sense, much less a visceral one.

4) They were under the impression that their beliefs would only impact "somebody else".

The 'rona hysteria proved all of that was unfounded. NPCs by the billions voluntarily put their neck under the boot and then demanded big daddy government tyrannize them harder. Even when their loved ones lost bank accounts, jobs, were thrown into oubliettes, and literally dropped dead from their clot shots they still demanded more globohomo oppression.

That is incredibly liberating because it proves there is absolutely nothing you or I can do to change their minds. Much the way true believer Communists in Soviet gulags wrote letters to Stalin because they actually believed there had been a mistake and he would free them, these NPCs are beyond saving.

Because nothing will change their minds, we not only have no responsibility to do anything to help them, we are fully justified in cracking open a bottle of scotch and laughing at their suffering. Much the way we'd laugh at a burglar falling through a ceiling and finding himself trapped inside a locked building while the sirens of punishment approach.

Any Count of Monte Christo-esque revenge we could think of pales in comparison to the suffering they willingly inflict upon themselves for decades. Enjoy the show.
