If you earned your own money, then it should be yours, to choose to save or not, The idea that the government has the right to take your money and control how you spend it and force you to put it into "NOT" a savings account for when your old is BS.
If the government wants to get into banking or running a hedge fund or retirement program for people without a bank account it can do that on it's own, the same way it decided to get into the student loan college lending market that was optional and people could choose not to do or do freely. But to automatically require participation in it is just another flavor of tyrannical wealth redistribution communism light.

To actually do what the law says. The gov "collects" money from me, nontaxable, and keeps it safe for me to withdraw on retirement as untaxable income that's been invested wisely etc. Why do you ask a question in that retarded way? I'm not arguing against it. I do believe the manner in which my money is presently handled is broken. There should be an option for an early retirement with a tradeoff in the benefit you receive. Also, by the time I'm eligible there's a very good chance the age will have been raised again. The current system is broken there's no doubt about that.
Btw, why should the government be entitled to hold my money for me? Government is not trustworthy and you know this better than the majority of people on here.
