Many of the car makers have stated they will no longer make gasoline cars by 2030. Electric cars work really well when there is no electricity to charge them with.....

Yeah and I know they will push gas prices up despite less demand. I'm thinking something like a KLR650 will come in handy.

Try a mini bike! (got one this year and love it for tooling around the property)

I would need a full size. Riding into town on rural roads with a minibike going 20 mph would be...interesting.

Used KLRs are cheap and dead reliable. You can outfit them with all sorts of adventure gear and up to 10 gallon fuel tank (500-550 mile range). Guys used to ride across Africa and South America with them before BMW and Co produced Long Way Round using their $30k bikes that still broke down.
