There needs to be an app that watches for a particular passcode, that when entered, wipes the memory and SD card clean and then resets the phone back to factory settings. It should pretend to unlock while performing this operation so as to give the algorithm time to wipe the phone.

I like this idea. If it takes too much time, just throw up the "low battery" indicator while it continues to wipe the phone.

A better idea is to not use your phone. They are nothing more than mobile tracking and surveillance devices.

Many devices will erase themselves if too many passcodes are attempted. The cops used to get around this by making a backup on a computer and reloading it after every erase. Now there is software that can crack the backup.

The real reason they want you to unlock your phone is to make it seem like a confession and so they can lie to you about your fifth amendment right to clam up any time you want. Cops will say, "You already started talking, the law says you have waived your right to silence."

There is.
You can set it up as wrong attempts three times. My company forces it onto our company phones. If password too many times. Wipes phones
