Be 19 and have a man trying to decide between you and 10 other women. He is "supposedly" engaged to you, but he has free access to his multiple concubines/mistresses whatever. When you say, hey I want a monogamous marriage, he scoffs. Yeah, I spent a few years finding myself after that bullshit too. Finally got married to a man that understood the goal in life (wife up have bebes) and am super happy with him.
