The irony here is that transgender isn't real. It simply is a label people give themselves. What he means is he made shitty lifestyle choices and now regrets them. Well, yes he did.

It's more than that in my opinion. He was groomed by his grandmother and later sexually abused by his uncle.

Childrens minds are designed for all kinds of interesting things after birth including a hard wired requirement for exposure to a minimum number of hours of language. If they don't hit the adequate number of hours of language exposure (or if they have none) they never develop the language circuitry in their brains and its is pruned away. There are all kinds of processes under way for children.

What I'm getting at with the link is that we talk about gays and deviants reproducing deviancy via child abuse. This might be an example of they kinds of processes and abuse a child with a particular vulnerability might endure and end up making all kinds of decisions that are harmful.
