Excellent post. It is part of our survival mechanism similar to the way baby birds push out the weak ones out of the nest. There is quite a lot of complexity in the socialization mechanism that you point out. I think one of the key things problems that we have created in modern industrial society is offload training / teaching of our children to the state sponsored school system. Instead of training and teaching these institutions are a cross between jails and a kind of lord of the flies situation. Great insight.
