I'm just getting started. Trying to eat real food. Any success stories? Anything to watch out for?

Start with just cooking and eating whole foods, I wouldn't try to go full keto out the gate. It's tough to keep to, since even vegetables can throw you out of ketosis. Onions and peppers were my downfall.

Avoid adding sugar to anything, or anything that has added sugar, and you're more or less good to go IMO.

My go to is red meat, usually some kind of steak like a top round, broccolli, and a sweet potato. Sometimes I go with rice instead of the potato. Chili is also a good option, though usually higher in sugar from the tomatoes and onion.

Good stuff. I might do an update post once I reach a more significant milestone in another week or so.

Meat. Cook it a little bit and eat it. Repeat.

What meat do you eat most often? How do you season it? What method of cooking do you use? What sides do you eat with it?

My meals: breakfast chicken salad on a bed of kale and lettuce topped with beef liver. Lunch: sardines and a bunless burger. Dinner: steak, with a side broccoli and a side salad of kale and mixed lettuce.

Cod/talapia/chicken. In an air fryer with some generic fish magic or Montreal chicken recipe. Additionally. A scoop of protein in your morning coffee to help keep hunger under control. Mass prep chicken on Sundays with broccoli and quinoa.

Sounds good! (And a lot more helpful than just "eat meat")
