The interesting part here is if such a suit went to trial what would be heard is whether it's reasonable to believe that Flloyd was killed because Fentanyl. All the other stuff, whether or not the cops acted apropriately, etc, is not going to be part of it.
All KW's attorneys would have to do is show that you can kneel on someone for 8 minutes and they won't die (duh), tiny amounts of fentanyl can turn routine situations deadly (duh), GF had fentanyl in his system.
The other side couldn't argue whether or not the cops responded appropriately. That would not be part of it. You could straight faced say, "The cops didn't respond appropriately, " while also saying, "but it was Fentanyl that killed GF."
It would be pretty funny to see GF's family open this door and let the matter of GF being on Chinese Food be heard.
