There's 2 major major pieces of evidence, here:

George Floyd had a lethal dose of Fen. in his system. For sure. We know this from 2 different autopsy reports.

Chauvin refused medical treatment from the emergency responders up to 5 minutes before they finally got off of his back. During that 5 minute time period, Floyd could have been administered Narcan and that would have likely saved Floyd's life.

This is why Chauvin lost his trial. None of the other facts matter in the case, at all. His knee didn't block Floyd's airway. Floyd died from a Fen. overdose. And the defense showed, clearly, that Floyd took a Fen. tablet in the bodycam footage. That almost lost the prosecutors the case. But the number one most damning piece of evidence against Chauvin and the other 2 officers was Chauvin refusing medical treatment for over 5 minutes.

Meaning, a manslaughter charge was appropriate and a conviction was appropriate. That went against department policy which REALLY tanked Chauvin's defense.

Floyd killed himself, for sure. But Chauvin has no plausible deniability and emergency response medical staff had the appropriate drugs on hand to deal with Floyd's overdose AND could have very likely saved Floyd's life had Chauvin allowed them to give him treatment when they first tried when Chauvin rejected them.
