Some okra I've harvested over the last few days. Becks big buck, Bowling Red and Hill Country Heirloom. Funny thing is I didn't like it before, I grew this for my wife, turns out I like it more than she does.

We like to eat them tempura, or steamed and then laid on ice with wasabi mayo or sauce, or sauteed in bacon oil with crushed garlic cloves and spring onions.

We've grilled them, fried them, sautéed them and broiled them. How you mentioned sounds good, time to dig up some recipes!

My wife's family is Cajun, I can't get her to make gumbo though, but will definitely put some to pickle, going to start right now too!
