Yes, it definitely is older one, but one of my favorites of all time nonetheless. I've ran into people that are older than myself that don't even know what it is and they get confused. I think it depends though on the person.

I used to say it with older people I knew that I could joke with and/or would joke with me.

The joke is... "Do you remember the dinosaurs?" - This is an old joke to as well.

arrrgh dihydrogen monoxide, i should have known. that's the one where smarmy students go "hurr hurr ban dihydrogen monoxide, it's very dangerous and people drown in it" a million times like it's new, but i never heard this name for it.

I used the less commonly known name for it due to this specific reason.
