I made a replacement barcode sticker for a device my company bought from a German company (well, merged with). Anyways, their labels are elaborate, with the barcode number, some goofy @i48483, the bars themselves, along with text of the part name and number, and serial number. We were scratching our heads as to why, so I said, “well, you know those Germans and their numbering systems...” dunno if they got it, don’t care ha.
The device is a French amplifier manufactured in Belgium, bought by ze Germans, that we in the States installed in a British rack enclosure.
