I’m a millennial and I’m sick of seeing other whiny millennials blame boomers for their problems, it’s annoying and pathetic.
Boomers didn’t train millennials to “hate their spouse,” millennials think they’re entitled to instant gratification and marry the wrong people
blame boomers for their problems
This is classic spouse hating boomer humor and this type of attitude is what raised a bunch of whiny, entitled, dysfunctional, millennials who can't seem to maintain a relationship. Because their parents taught them to hate their spouse/partner.
I will never not point out the pathetic, toxic, spouse-hating boomer humor. If it triggers you, ignore me.
This humor existed long before the boomer generation and somehow people managed to stay married.
You’re entitled because you’ve instantly gotten everything you want for your entire life which leads to shitty decisions. Blame how you handled receiving technology, not fucking jokes told by old people
This humor existed long before the boomer generation
But not even anywhere close to the saturation the boomers implemented.
Don't believe me, go back and watch comedy from the 1950s and before to see what the Greatest Generation humor was about. Yes, the occasional "battle axe" joke. But not an entire routine about how much of a bitch their wife is.
And do you wonder why Rodney Dangerfield had so much spouse hating jokes? He had quite the adventures with relationships:
Joyce Indig: (m. 1951; div. 1961), (m. 1963; div. 1970) Joan Child (m. 1993)
Blame how you
No, I won't blame myself for anything. Because I didn't do anything.
What I am doing, however, is pointing out toxic boomer humor and triggering people like you something fierce. Do you hate your spouse/GF, bro? If so, considered doing something romantic for her. Leave her a love note where you know she will see it. Write her a letter about an enjoyable memory (without any backhanded compliments). Thank her for having your children (if you're married or have children). Less resentment to your spouse, more love and tenderness.
Watch: it works.
