They have a lot of issues that can wipe out a bunch of them quickly. They don't produce enough food to feed themselves. Their one child policy left them with way more men than women. Of the women they do have, they were encouraged to focus on careers, not making a family, so now they have a lot of "left over women" (women over 30 who have never been married, and never will be married or have kids). The older chinks rely on their kids to take care of them. With the same unaffordable housing we have (maybe worse) a lot of young people are just saying "fuck it", refusing to work or participate in the economy (I forgot the special term they have for that one).
