Most modern-day Jews self -profess to be Ashkenazi, so named because they are descended of Ashkenoz, son of Gomer, son of Noah's son Japeth. The "Children of Israel" with respect to Gods chosen people and the covenant made with Abraham are nowhere in this lineage. Abraham was descended from Noah's first son Shem ("Sem" in Greek, which has no "h", and upon which the word "Semite" is based). You can refer to the first chapter of Mathew or the third chapter of Luke for lineage of Jesus through David back to Shem.
Modern-day Jews are NOT the Biblical Israelites, plain and simple, if you use the Bible as authority. If you really wish to drive that point home to a Christian the point can be made that the Christian faith holds that all content of the Bible exists for a point and purpose. For example, nothing further is said about Noah's middle son Ham. Perhaps Japeth's line IS discussed simply to make it clear that the descents of Ashkenoz are NOT descendants of Abraham. Period.
Then there's the whole Genesis 3 thing they quote, where we have to bless Israel to be blessed, when that really only pertained to Abraham (in the case of his offspring that'd be both jews and muzzies)
>...Being a “born again” preacher did not preclude Scofield from becoming a member of an exclusive New York men’s club in 1901, either. In his devastating biography, The Incredible Scofield and His Book, Joseph M. Canfield suggests, “The admission of Scofield to the Lotus Club, which could not have been sought by Scofield, strengthens the suspicion that has cropped up before, that someone was directing the career of C.I. Scofield.” That someone, Canfield suspects, was associated with one of the club’s committee members, the Wall Street lawyer Samuel Untermeyer. As Canfield intimates, Scofield’s theology was “most helpful in getting Fundamentalist Christians to back the international interest in one of Untermeyer’s pet projects—the Zionist Movement.”...
Indeed. And the whole dispensationalist movement that preceded that in the 19th century. I was raised that way, but always admired my WWII vet grandpa who sent me books, hated jews, always in time with alternative media... It'd be funny him calling my zio christian dad, complaining about what they were doing behind the scenes, though I didn't realize he was right till later
