I will assume this is true and Hamas originated under Israeli control, it's clear that they are no longer working in Israeli interests.

For anyone who thinks this attack was a "false flag so Israel can invade gaza" they are misinformed, Israel routinely bombs, bulldozes, and executes the civilians of Gaza already, they don't need an excuse to do what they already do every single day.

Hamas destroyed the illusion of jewish invincibility, torpedoed the Saudi-Israel normalization deal (the Saudis wanted to quietly strengthen ties to Israel but now cannot as their people are fired up in support of Hamas).
