WHERE OUR TROUBLES ARE NOT COMING FROM... They are not coming from the natural world. We also know they are not coming from any particular leader.

The simplest way to paraphrase this is to offer a fable of the Forbidden Planet where the main protagonist was the root cause of his problem. I agree, we are the cause of our own problems because we hope others will solve them on our behalf.
