So there an external sin, known as sin unto death which is earned by blasphemy against the Holy Spirit only (but not against the Father and the Son). Becoming a jewish rabbi of the talmud is such an unpardonable sin: not only do ones one become an apostate, they also apostatize. They attribute God's works to something else, and claim they can not only engage God in debate, but should also win. Explicitly they tell us they are not servants of God, but for rabbil, the inverse is the truth to them.

Combined with the fact they continue the traditions of the pharisees and their false oral torah through the Talmud, and were explicitly condemned by Jesus and the favored apostle John (John 8:44), becoming a judan rabbi and not being repentant (like St Paul) is a sure way to experience true death.
