Yeah, was going to say that. It gives you a reconstructed image of what's behind the wall made up of densities of material.

It makes my aluminum siding look better everyday.

Also, camera is not correct. It's a detector. People always get terminology incorrect. It seems, on purpose.

It's because "camera" is easily understandable by the idiots. "Millimeter wave RADAR detection system and visual reconstruction computing equipment" would make your average twatter reader lock up.

I think that there was a thermal "camera" system that would detect heat signatures (e.g people, animals, burning things) through walls. Seems to me that it was touted as a safety device for fire fighters and po-po.
