I want to believe he is, but do I? Still hasn’t recanted his “white people are fucking awful” comment.

They guy is smart enough to know that naming them is an instant death sentence for his career. I doubt he'd go that far. He hasn't even said anything overtly bigoted, just that people should probably avoid the groups of people who want to actively harm them. The fact that it was even controversial shows how stupid everyone is.

I'm not sure he's trying to imply anything or dog whistle. Probably just pointing out how a proud feminist would bankrupt a successful company just to virue signal, because that's more in line with the current culture war nonsense.

For reference, he has been using the term “on-the-nose” for years to describe stories that seem too perfect to be real.

In this case I think the obvious story he is questioning is a woman taking the helm in marketing and immediately making bad, woke decisions. It seems to fit the stereotype too well.
