I have trouble believing that the Ochs-Sulzberger family (the jewish family that controls the NY Times) is anti-zionist/israel.

Why would they publish a divisive piece splitting the diaspora jews (who want jews living everywhere) from the zionist jews (who want jews living in israel and now the ukraine)?

My best guess is they are dividing the flock into zionist vs. diaspora jews. Then the rabbis that are zionist can get their zionist jew flock to immigrate and help turn the ukraine into greater israel.

I'm really having trouble making sense of this editorial. This is my best guess. It has to be some kind of trick.
