There's something about cooking things on the sabbath being work. They also do things like have sabbath mode for elevators where they just move up and down all day so you don't have to operate it, and they do shit like put a cord of some sort around areas so they can be considered "their home" and get around restrictions.
It's a toss up between them and the Amish about getting around their own restrictions.
My brother is an elevator repair dude in NYC. I remember him telling me about the elevators with Jew code and the panic that ensues if this not working or if the Jew elevator is broken (places with multiple elevators sometimes only program one to stop at every floor on the Sabbath). They actually have to ask other people to push the buttons.
