Props to for an asha logos video that covered this. Believe I've posted a similar tail from ancient Persia before in this sub. Being raised non denominational, with the gog/Magog prophecy used to demonize Russia, this makes more sense, them being Khazars or Edomites cut off from civilization

Yep. Just like they stole the knowledge for the Muslim golden age. Interestingly I've only read the term Dhul-Qarnayn as being at ones wits end, in brewer's dictionary of phrase and fable. Something to do with horns too. Don't have my copy handy
