Real children's writers have two choices -- write utter crap they don't believe in, or stop writing. It's the same in the movie and television industries. Real writers need not apply -- they want hacks who will write what they are told to write.
Kids book about abortion: "The Berenstain Bears Burn Down Planned Parenthood"
Do they want ones that express regret at getting and abortion?
There is a song called Brick by Ben Folds Five. Many people assume it is a Christmas song because it mentions the holiday. It is actually about abortion.
On Ben Folds Live, Folds explained: "People ask me what this song's about... I was asked about it a lot, and I didn't really wanna make a big hairy deal out of it, because I just wanted the song to speak for itself. But the song is about when I was in high school, me and my girlfriend had to get an abortion, and it was a very sad thing. And, I didn't really want to write this song from any kind of political standpoint, or make a statement. I just wanted to reflect what it feels like. So, anyone who's gone through that before, then you'll know what the song's about."
Who the fuck could listen to that song and NOT realize it's about a young couple getting an abortion?
Sally's Big Boo-Boo Sally's family moved from the country to a big city. Sally was happy to finally be in a school with children of all different colors. One day a boy named D'quintas took Sally behind the gym to show her a new game. Sally didn't like that game but understood that it was his family's favorite game so she was honored to be included. A few months later Sally's moms said she needed to go to the doctor because she had a boo-boo in her tummy. The doctor wore a tiny hat on his head and told Sally he would fix her boo-boo. Sally's moms told her that she was brave and strong and would grow up to be president one day.
But xhe fail, and become only a vice president.
That's what I say. Odd you are saying it now, did you have a change of heart?
