The word the holocaust was not used in any sense relating to jews or anything to do with world war ii until after a tv miniseries movie aired in the 1977 called the holocaust starring meryl streep. that was the first time the public had been introduced to the idea that germans had purposely exterminated jews in death camps rather than jews dying as part of many people who were in prisoner of war camps who starved or died of colera or other things that were common in prisoner of war camps when the losing side left prisoners in the camps with little food left.

prior to the 1977 movie the holocaust the germans had been thought of as the unlucky losers but our brothers who had through politics been forced into choosing a different path that had not eventually won the fight for governance. there was definitely some hatred for germans from people in the war because obviously their friends have been killed but there was much more real hatred for the japanese who are viewed as a completely different people with the level of cruelty unmatched by anybody else. the germans were viewed as our brothers on the wrong side of a war who had been led astray by a leader who'd gone too far. people like werner von braun and others who led our space program proved that. it wasn't a secret they had fought for germany. it just wasn't thought of as bad. remember hitler had been the admiration of the world and voted time magazine of the year man and the recovery of germany after the great depression was widely viewed with great admiration and people openly questioned whether democracy like the united states had was too slow to react in a real time of need and a more powerful central leader like germany had was openly debated as a form of government in the united states. and in fact roosevelt became that more powerful leader to such a degree that an amendment was passed that no president could serve more than 2 years after roosevelt. roosevelt in our country was our hitler in that sense and that was partly in response to the inability of a democracy to pull up the country out of the great depression and do what needed to be done fast enough to avoid long-term suffering by the people.

keep in mind one of those popular shows on tv 1970s at the time was hogan's heroes which showed the germans in a laughable funny light as the stupid losers. but importantly not the cruel not the vicious not the savage losers. just the stupid losers. in fact one of the stars of the show the little french actor had actually been in a german prisoner of war camp and was jewish and had a tattoo on his arm for real. does anybody really think that if the germans had been so horrible and had been trying to kill all the jews that someone who had been in the camp would have participated in a show that made light of the germans or that jews who produced the show and controlled television even then would have made a show that show the germans in such a favorable light-hearted light?

the tv show the holocaust was a multi night extravaganza as became popular around the same time that the show roots aired over tv. again that aired over multiple nights as a "mini series" which was a new invention.

during that time on tv programming was popular that was called something like "the movie of the week". and it would be a movie length tv show that would run in one night. but the popularity of roots which ran over several nights changed television and the movie the holocaust was the next big tv event like roots. (roots was later proven to be another huge propaganda lie with the book itself having turned out to be plagiarized from someone else)

both roots and the holocaust were the first major media shows that i remember seeing in my youth that really made you feel bad about humanity in a mainstream media kind of a way. it was the first time that i can remember major broadcast media (and remember there were only three channels abc nbc and cbs) being used to sew seeds of angst and discomfort among the general population. they really were the first major brainwashings of the american population that i can recall.

prior to the movie the holocaust coming out, the word holocaust was rarely heard or used and it meant a conflagration such as a big fire like you might have in a firestorm if a forest fire got out of control and was really devastating. it just was a word that you barely ever heard. in a similar sense it was like the word gay which at that time had not yet been totally adopted and primarily used as a word to mean homosexual. gay was one of those words that was rarely used and really meant happy. in fact the term "happy and gay" was really a phrase and the two words often used together. then of course in the 1970s again a pr company employed by homosexual rights groups began to push the use of the term gay to mean homosexuality to try to put homosexuality into a different light. anyway it's just interesting that the term holocaust and gay were both terms that were used very rarely and so could easily be steered and redefined to promote propaganda and they were.

"holocaust" is a word that has meaning exclusive of the jew lie. You go on to explain this, so why the misleading title? Good thread otherwise.

that no president could serve more than 2 years after roosevelt.

terms*

roosevelt in our country was our hitler

Disagree, roosevelet was a jew-loving, White-hating, POTUS and one of if not the worst president in US history.
