[–] 1 pt

I switched schools three times in Middle School, which just happened to be the grade that read this exact book. So that means I read this book and covered the Holocaust material 3 times in a row.

(I was also reading Eckhart Tolle The Power of Now at the same time, a very useful book.) Anyway, By the third time I covered this same material for a third time, I became so depressed that I spoke with the teacher after class. I said, "Hey I am like 8% cherokee (or so my family tells me) and how come we go over this same genocide, in explicit detail, and never any local genocides?"

The sweet, blonde teacher was ashamed. That was it. After that, I was called multiple times into the principal's office to have "discussions" where he threatened to send me to a state school institution. I can't help but see the two events related as an adult.
