While I agree with most of this, the part they don’t mention is that David, Solomon, and Jesus are all from the tribe of Judah.

My gardener's name is Jesus. He won't shut up on how he used to be a carpenter and how he could save us all if we would just let him.

I'd have to change the locks on the guest house. His Mum Mary moved in with him last Christmas. It's going to be a big ol' hassle.

Jesus is not nor ever claims this. Only the pharisees make this claim. Also, Jews are not Judahites.

The Bible absolutely claims that Jesus, David, Solomon are from the tribe of Judah.

I think what you mean to say is that the actual term “Jew” is not indicative of one from that tribe (if I’m interpreting the information in your link correctly). Rather it’s a whole other sect of people who really have nothing to do with Hebrews of the Bible, which are distinct.

I have too many questions to ask here, but one thing I gather is that the entire argument made by this video and the information in your provided link is based upon there being a distinction between what we as westerners have been taught the word “Jew” means, and what it actually means.

Here in the west, the words “Hebrew” and “Jew” are used pretty much interchangeably from what I can tell. And all English translations of the Bible seem to use them interchangeably, too.

One thing I’ve learned about the Bible is that there is no perfect translation. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read a passage and thought that it means one thing, but then a scholar comes along with a word study and says “yeah ummm the word they should have used there is this instead of that.” And it often changes the entire meaning of the passage when these nuances are brought to light. This has me thinking that perhaps the same thing has happened in our understanding of biblical lineages..the translations were sloppy and so we have all these ideas and understandings that aren’t accurate to what the original Bible actually says in a lot of cases.

Modern words, like Jew, have been introduced, but it's not biblical. Jesus never claims as judahite. The pharisees make this accusation but he refuses to acknowledge. The reason people are confused is because Pilate made an F-U sign over Jesus during the crucifixion. It confuses many people, reinforced with crappy biblical teaching.

Jews are converts to Judaism. They largely do not have blood lines to the Israelites. Jesus directly rebukes them for this false claim.

Many of your questions are already answered in the provided material. You should check it out. You'll find there is a lot there.
