Even my oven has a jew mode that allows it to operate for extended periods of time that exceed it's safety shutoff, the idea being that pushing a button to turn an oven on is somehow different than pushing a button to change it's temperature.
They set all the traffic lights in west Los Angeles to timer-based instead of sensor based during some times of the year because jews out for a walk aren't allowed to push the button to get a light to cross the street.
