Currently living in Cook County IL, I've told this to a few people over the years. Take your kid and run, the women never listened. Then followed years of legal bullshit as this county will legally bleed people try with court fees.
I'm working on my exit strategy for the county and the state.
In Illinois, Heather Unbehaun took her daughter and disappeared apparently with her brother's help. Why? Daddy took the child during a visit and had her vaxxed in 2017. It is believed that grandparents are helping as well, but they can't prove it. That is real courage.
Yes, Illinois is a father's rights state, something I normally support.
My mother has had to warn dumb ass women of this. Doesn't matter if he's a piece of shit he gets to be involved with the child if he wants it.
We had a family member not listen when multiple people told her to pack up & leave with the kid before she's served. So her daughter was put through years of family court bullshit. And isn't the same happy young girl she used to be.
This is something common in family court situations. You literally have to take your child and leave the state until the kid is 16 or a legal adult depending on the state. Or in some cases, usually for fathers, having to travel out of state to kidnap your own child back.
FYI, just warning for guys out there, Texas has "dead beat dad" laws still on the books. This is something you have to watch out for in a state. It can cost a man tens of thousands of dollars and possibly freedom (jail time).
