I was listening to a pastor discuss tithes recently, and one thing he said stuck with me: the giving of tithes is a command from God to give a tenth of what you reap to him. Whether that’s a harvest of crops, or the slaughtering of animals for meat, God used to demand a percentage of that. Now, in our modern world, God is being replaced by government institutions that spy on you 24/7, and they demand far more than 10% of all your wealth.

In medieval times, subjects gave 1/10 of their crops to the king. Nowadays, we give more like 70% what we make to the shitty government and they're still have a deficit. These mothefuckers demand more than a deity. Pretty much sure high taxes are a sin. It's no different than a theft at this point.
