You are the one interpreting that poverty is a virtue. Nobody has ever said or practiced this in the early Church. None of this is taught in Christian tradition. In fact Orthodox Christians are one of the most financially successful religious groups. You're also an idiot because that passage of Deuteronomy is referring to punishment for forgetting God, abandoning Christianity and indulging in vice. Which is exactly what happened. And the whole "it says it right there in the text" is exactly what every person says to justify their idiotic interpretation. Christ consciousness? "It says it right there! You are all gods!" Salvation by faith alone "It says it right there! Faith without works!"
