I'd encourage you to consider two things that can't be uncoupled: 1. She was having realizations decades ago that most of us have only had the in the past couple of years, and while we don't have much, at least we have the community we do here to relate with. She had no such thing. 2. She was having these realizations from inside the machine, and watched the only source of wellbeing she had known dissolve in front of her. I don't know enough about her situation to say she *isn't* insane. She might be. But I know just a little bit about how it's felt in my small social circles and family life to be the only person aware of things. I can't say my life has been torn to shreds or uprooted by this, but the social effects on me, and my overall worldview and the types of stresses I experience - these have all changed wildly. I don't think any of us could comprehend what it's like to go through her particular situation. To add to this, she seemed very articulate, lucid and 'on the ball' during this interview, which I assume was pretty recent. Don't forget how Mel Gibson was 'losing it' as well, or virtually anybody else that was sufficiently anti-semitic. There has been a thoroughgoing campaign to make so-called anti-semitism nearly synonymous with insanity. Was it Charles King that said: "*In an insane world a sane man must appear insane.*"
