When you're brainwashed from birth that you're ancestors were hand picked by God to establish an extremist way of life, it's easy to see that they mistakenly believe what they were taught. They feel safe in their narrow beliefs, not knowing that they're completely wrong. God really doesn't like them, but keeps them around for an occasional laugh at the stupidity of thinking you're better then others when that belief alone is wrong headed and watch them get their asses handed to them from every country on earth.
