Reminds me of how the orthodox jews in manhattan strung a fishing line that circles manhattan. They're not allowed to do businness and some other various shit on the sabbath. The fishing line is them Jewing their Jew god and saying they're technically inside or some shit. Orthodox Diamond District Jews wanna do business 7 days a week... so they pay to string some fishing line encircling they city so they can claim they never went outside or carried money outside or just some nutty shit.

Oh do you remember when that former Iranian leader spoke at a US college some years back and one of the US students asked him about gay people in Iran. He replied "there are no gay people in Iran" and a room full of college liberals broke out into laughter and felt smug... w/ absolutely zero understanding of why he would say that. It blew up social media at the time. The gist was "he really doesn't think there are gay people in Iran"... never trying to understand why he was saying it.

No idea and I doubt they keep any reliable or accurate numbers. They've been doing this shit since they issued the fatwa in 87 that recognized them as transgender until they could afford to transition provided they just cross dressed like they were told. The govt. even subsidizes much of the process.
