This is classic Freirian (as in the Communist, Paulo Freire) indoctrination. They use "generative themes" in order to elicit a crisis of belief in the students. This is textbook cult indoctrination. It is absolutely rampant in US schools and is becoming so in schools (particularly government run schools) across the Western world. This was brought in by the (((Frankfurt School))) Marxists taking over the education departments of universities back in the 60s-70s, then changing teaching so that it would require at least an undergraduate degree. By doing this, they were able to indoctrinate basically all of the teachers.

If you have kids, you need to be extremely aware of their teacher's language and what they are presenting in class and how. Things that can seem innocuous can be used for "generative themes" that transform what seems to be a simple question into a mechanism for preaching ideology. For example, a simple math question about a child going to an amusement park can be contorted into a discussion about "climate change", by focusing on how the family get there, did they drive a car, could they have taken public transport, did they fly, etc. Or, it could be transformed into a discussion on class, who has been to an amusement park, maybe "some people" can't afford to go, then the teacher can emphasize how that is "not fair", etc. You need to remember that your kids teachers are quite possibly acting directly against their interests and yours.
