While you might think that founder Conor McGregor is the owner of Proper 12 Irish Whiskey, he actually sold his majority share in the company in 2021. The company who owns Proper 12 Irish Whiskey now is Proximo Spirits. The company also owns Jose Cuervo and other brands of alcoholic drinks. However, it’s not the sole owner. It’s just the majority shareholder with 51% of the available shares in Proper 12 Irish Whiskey. That deal earned Conor McGregor $600 million.
