That's the worst way to go though. I've seen it in real life. Dude trapped in a burning car after an accident. His friends made it out and we're mentally breaking down around me. Flames died down a bit and I tried to pull him out but his arm skin came off in my hands. Shit was the absolute worst thing I've ever witnessed.
Man, that is a nightmare that can't be forgotten. Kudos to you for trying to save him.
Shit was so horrific everyone completely forgot about the other car he collided head on with, even after the paramedics got there. I was the car directly behind the the whole thing and suddenly something clicked in my brain "Holy shit there was another car". I went running and found it in a ditch. It was a Volvo with the front wheel smeared backwards to where the driver door should be. The middle aged woman, y'know, someone's mom. Was a complete bloody mess but conscious. I then proceeded to ask the dumbest question of my entire life... "Are you okay!". She she just whimpered "no". I then started screaming at the paramedics to come attend to her because she at least stood a chance.
Fuck man, shit sucks thinking about.
Edit: I saw the whole thing happen in what felt like slow motion. The guy was drifting over the double yellows and oncoming traffic was arriving. 55MPH highway. Oh shit shit shit.... FUCK!!!
