You don't say! How could you possibly cool a city by replacing hundreds of tons of cement and asphalt with trees, water features and plants? Next thing they will figure out is that large forested areas "attract" more rain!

What? A bunch of leaves absorbing the sunlight before it can hit the ground and also casting shadows is cooler than direct sunlight hitting the ground and warming it all up? The hell you say.

This article is as annoying as when (I assume they still do this) there is nothing to report on during the summer so the news programs run a story on the "heat" and then they interview a bunch of stupid people and ask them what they're doing to stay cool, and they laugh at the unfunny things that they themselves said.
