That could be it. In general I think that a lot of Americans at least just don't give a fuck and think these wars are pointless and don't understand why we should be involved. Most of our politicians are ancient and still believe in the red scare and the younger generations don't care about that history other than "my life sucks, I don't get paid enough and you want to fund a bunch of endless wars".
