Individualism is a weaponized lie; you are part of your people and they are a part of you. You do not get to run or escape it. It is, quite literally, your DNA. Hiding in some other continent or forest changes nothing. It only demonstrates your own character: One of cowardice and abandonment of duty. Doing so may save your body (temporarily), but at the expense of your soul.
This struck a nerve since I left the city to escape the tyranny of the system. I didn't see any chance of things getting better, only worse. My thinking was, if things got so bad there was no food, no electricity, no gas and I had no guns, I could not defend myself. Being away from the city allowed me literally unplug from the system, while still being able to use it until it collapses. I can not save society on my own and presently, most of society is still in a trance believing they can vote themselves out of tyranny.
There's an old saying not to try to save a drowning man unless you can save yourself.
