Hiding in some other continent or forest changes nothing. It only demonstrates your own character: One of cowardice and abandonment of duty. Doing so may save your body (temporarily), but at the expense of your soul. This struck a nerve since I left the city to escape the tyranny of the system. I didn't see any chance of things getting better, only worse. My thinking was, if things got so bad there was no food, no electricity, no gas and I had no guns, I could not defend myself. Being away from the city allowed me literally unplug from the system, while still being able to use it until it collapses. I can not save society on my own and presently, most of society is still in a trance believing they can vote themselves out of tyranny. There's an old saying not to try to save a drowning man unless you can save yourself.
