I hear that the lumber industry has whole warehouses dedicated to Drying out the wood for months so that when it is cut, it doesn't bend as it drys. Which is why the industry has very slow reaction times to changes in demand.

It's crazy to me that this metal industry doesn't just have a default warehouse heated to a certain temp to do the same thing if this is the kind of thing that can go wrong to their own employees.

The lumber industry does that because it affects the quality of their product and, therefore, their profit.

This only affects the workers who are expendable.
